Overview

GRAM’s Americas Buyout Fund (“ABF”) leverages the team’s extensive experience to identify, source and grow businesses in the Hispanic Americas – a large and growing market with powerful demographic tailwinds, but often overlooked and underfunded.

The team, previously Carlyle’s investment team for the Americas, maintains access to the Carlyle network and global industry experts; strategic collaboration with Carlyle allows ABF to leverage a global pool of industry expertise with decades of track record, while maintaining the agility of GRAM.

The ABF team is also supported by GRAM, the asset management division of Grupo Romero, a Peru-headquartered conglomerate established in 1893 and among the largest and most important economic groups in Latin America. Grupo Romero controls 13 public and private businesses spanning industries including consumer, financial services, healthcare, industrials, energy, infrastructure, and business services in over 10 countries.

ABF invests in opportunities where we can drive transformational change and value creation. We leverage our access to a deep network of CEOs, other C-suite executives, functional advisors and subject-matter experts to help drive transformation. Common levers include: (i) growth acceleration; (ii) adoption of operational and tech driven global best practices; (iii) geographic expansion (e.g., LatAm to U.S. or vice versa); (iv) buy and build; and (v) arbitrage opportunities.
