Investing and Business Development
Marco Peschiera
Marco Peschiera launched GRAM in 2023 and has over 26 years of experience in the financial industry. In addition to his role as CEO of GRAM, Mr. Peschiera currently serves as CEO of Grupo Romero Investment Office, and as a board member at Banco de Credito, Alicorp, Ocensa, Primax, Infracorp, among other companies. Prior to joining Grupo Romero in 2017, Mr. Peschiera worked as Fund Head and Managing Director at Carlyle Peru Fund and acted as a board member across the fund’s portfolio companies.
Before joining Carlyle, Mr. Peschiera worked as a Managing Director for the LatAm Group at Citi, leading the Industrials practice, and as Vice President of M&A at Salomon Smith Barney. He received his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Lima.
Eduardo Ramos
Managing Partner
Eduardo Ramos joined GRAM in 2023 and has 24 years of investing and operating experience, including 15 years of experience in private equity. Prior to joining GRAM, Mr. Ramos worked for 11 years at Carlyle, where he was Managing Director and head of the Carlyle Peru Fund and part of the Americas Team responsible for investing in Hispanic Americas. During his tenure at Carlyle, he led several transactions across a wide range of industries. He served on Carlyle portfolio company Boards, several of which he still remains active.
Before joining Carlyle, Mr. Ramos worked as a Principal with Aureos Capital, a private equity generalist firm focused on emerging markets, and as a Senior Manager of Strategy & Business Development at Kraft Foods. He received his MBA from London Business School and a BA in Economics from Universidad del Pacifico.
Alex Bayly
Alex Bayly joined GRAM in 2023 and has 14 years of investing and operating experience, including 9 years in private equity/asset allocation and currently Board Member at three Grupo Romero companies.
Prior to joining GRAM, Mr. Bayly worked for 6 years at Grupo Romero, both at the Investment Office leading M&A transactions and value creation and at Primax, a Grupo Romero portfolio company, leading the Strategy/M&A division.
Before joining Grupo Romero, Mr. Bayly worked as Associate Director with The Abraaj Group, a private equity generalist firm focused on emerging markets and at McKinsey & Company’s Latam Office. He received his MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Business from Universidad del Pacifico.
Gerardo Bacigalupo
Gerardo Bacigalupo joined GRAM in 2023. Prior to joining GRAM, Mr. Bacigalupo worked for 6 years at Carlyle, where he was Vice President, in charge of investing and managing the portfolio of the Carlyle Peru Fund throughout Latin America, as well as part of the Americas Team responsible for investing in Hispanic Americas. He served on several Carlyle portfolio company Boards, which he still remains active on.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Bacigalupo was the Business Development Deputy Manager for the Financial Holding of Grupo Falabella – one of LatAm’s largest publicly traded retailers – where he evaluated organic and non-organic growth initiatives in Latin America. Prior to Falabella, Mr. Bacigalupo worked for four years at Enfoca, a private equity generalist firm based in Peru where he was responsible for the investment process and monitoring of portfolio companies in different sectors, including retail, education and media. Before joining Enfoca, he worked for PwC, where he did advisory for Transfer Pricing.
Mr. Bacigalupo received his MBA from The Wharton Business School and his BA degree in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico, in Peru.
Ian Bayly
Ian Bayly joined GRAM in 2023. Prior to joining GRAM, Mr. Bayly worked for 6 years at Carlyle, where he served as a Vice President and was part of the Investment Team managing the Carlyle Peru Fund, as well as part of the Americas Team responsible for investing in Hispanic Americas. He served on several Carlyle portfolio company Boards, which he still remains active on.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Bayly worked at the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley in Mexico City and New York. He participated in M&A, Equity and Debt processes for an aggregate transaction amount above US$ 7.5Bn, in industries spanning Consumer & Retail, Hospitality, Industrial and Financial Services, among others. Prior to Morgan Stanley, he worked in Access SEAF, a small-cap Private Equity firm based in Peru.
Mr. Bayly received his MBA from London Business School. He received a BA in business and finance from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas.
Carlos Schechtmann
Carlos Schechtmann joined GRAM in 2024. Prior to joining GRAM, Mr. Schechtmann worked for 6 years at Carlyle, where he was Vice President, in charge of investing and managing the portfolio of the Carlyle U.S. Buyout and Growth Funds.
Prior to Carlyle, Mr. Schechtmann worked at the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley in New York.
Mr. Schechtmann received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and his BA degree in Economics from New York University.
Nicholas Telge
Nicholas Telge joined GRAM in 2023. Prior to joining GRAM, Mr. Telge worked for 6 years at the Investment Banking Division at Credit Suisse in Lima and New York, where he gained experience in multiple sectors including Consumer & Retail, Power & Utilities, Media & Telecom, Financial Services, among others. Prior to Credit Suisse, he worked for 2 years at Enfoca, a generalist middle-market Private Equity firm based in Peru.
Rafael Carranza
Rafael Carranza joined GRAM’s investment team in 2023. He currently is a board observer on Carlyle Peru Fund’s portfolio companies and participates in managing the fund’s portfolio.
Prior to joining GRAM, Mr. Carranza worked at Bank of America, where he was an Investment Banking Associate for the Latin America Group based in New York. At Bank of America, he advised on transactions worth $5bn+ across the Consumer, Retail, Technology, Infrastructure and Telecom industries, among others.
Prior to Bank of America, Mr. Carranza worked as an Associate in the investment banking division at Credicorp Capital, an Andean-region investment bank, where he advised clients on M&A, debt capital markets, equity capital markets, and financing transactions worth $1bn+ across several industries.
Mr. Carranza received his MBA from The Wharton Business School and his BA degree in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico, in Peru.
Francisco Velaochaga
Francisco Velaochaga joined GRAM in 2023. Prior to joining GRAM, Mr. Velaochaga worked for 1 year at Grupo Romero’s Investment Office, evaluating M&A transactions and value creation initiatives across the portfolio. Before joining Grupo Romero, Mr. Velaochaga worked for 4 years at Enfoca, a leading generalist middle-market Private Equity manager investing across Mexico, Colombia and Peru with AuM of +$1.5bn, where he gained experience in multiple sectors including Healthcare and Insurance, Education, Media, Infrastructure, Retail, among others. Mr. Velaochaga received a BA in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Lima in Peru.
Fatima Rohde
Fatima Rohde joined GRAM in 2024. Prior to joining GRAM, Mrs. Rohde worked for 2 years at Grupo Romero’s Investment Office, evaluating M&A transactions and value creation initiatives across the portfolio. Before joining Grupo Romero, Mrs. Rohde worked for 1 year at AC Capitales, a leading private equity firm focused on real estate and infrastructure sectors (+US$275mm AuM) investing across Peru, Colombia, and Chile. Mrs. Rohde received a BA in Economics from Universidad del Pacifico in Peru.

Diego Perez
Diego Perez joined GRAM in 2023 and has 30 years of experience. Prior to joining GRAM, Mr. Perez worked for Grupo Romero and GRIO for nearly ten years, most recently serving as Director and Head of Talent and Organization. Previously, he was Managing Partner at Odgers Berndtson for the Andean Region and Principal at Heidrick & Struggles, working in the Financial Services and Private Equity Practices in Madrid and London.
He holds a BA in Economics and Business Administration from CUNEF Universidad and has completed executive programs offered by IESE Business School, Harvard Business School, and Escuela de Dirección de la Universidad de Piura.
Rafael Villaran
Rafael Villaran acts as internal legal counsel for the GRAM platform and has over 12 years of experience dealing with sophisticated M&A, banking and finance, and commercial transactions. He is dual-qualified to practice law in Peru and New York.
In addition to the above, Mr. Villaran serves as GRIO S.A.’s Legal Director for M&A, Asset Management, and Investments since May 2022. Prior to joining GRIO, Mr. Villaran was Legal Chief of M&A at Alicorp S.A.A., Peru’s largest consumer goods company, where he was responsible for all legal aspects of M&A and other high-complexity commercial matters. Prior to joining Alicorp, Mr. Villaran worked as an International Lawyer at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton’s New York Office and as an Associate at Estudio Rodrigo, Elias & Medrano and Estudio Echecopar, member firm of Baker & McKenzie.
Mr. Villaran received his LL.M. from Harvard Law School, where he was awarded the Dean’s Award for Community Leadership, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Universidad de Lima, in Peru with a law degree.
Heidy Estrada
Heidy Estrada joined GRAM LLC in 2023 and has over 19 years of Administration and HR experience. Prior to joining GRAM, Ms. Estrada was the Office Manager at Aterian Investment Partners, responsible for the administration and operations of the FL office.
Before joining Aterian, Ms. Estrada spent 14 years at Del Monte Fresh Produce and in her role, she managed the international benefits plan, and the equity plan of the company as well as the Executive Assistant to the SVP of Human Resources and Personal Assistant to the Chairman and CEO.
Ms. Estrada earned her degree in Business from the University of Phoenix.
Thulin Elguera
Thulin Elguera joined GRAM in 2023 and has 18 years of experience. Mrs. Thulin worked for 10 years at Carlyle, where she was the Office Manager of the Carlyle Peru Fund.
Before joining Carlyle, Mrs. Thulin worked for 5 years at Seguros Sura and Invita Seguros, where she was Executive Assistant for the Chairman and the CEO, and as Executive Assistant at Ernst & Young.
